Korres Lip Butter

This is an oldie but a goodie, if you haven't tried it yet, do. I'm hooked on the Jasmine one, it's got a lovely caramel scent and is SO moisturizing and soft. I've gotten so many friends and family members into this one, Korres should send me some freebies (I wish = ). So pick it up if you've been hesitating - you'll love it, but be sure to swatch out the colors as the Jasmine one is sometimes too light a shade for darker lip tones. $10 @ Sephora.

A Good Man-darin is Hard to Find by O.P.I.

Ahh summer polish.
I wanted to find a good summery red with an orange hue - kind of inspired by some Revlon lipstick I have called Orange Flip.

What I got is A Good Man-darin is Hard to Find by O.P.I., it's from their Hong Kong collection, the one with Jade is the new Black and Panda-monium Pink, but this color stood out to me. It's a really close dupe for M.A.C. Scorcher Polish, but as many agree M.A.C.'s formula leaves something to be desired. It's so fun and perfect for summer, I keep repainting this one I don't even want to try anything else!

Favorite Skin Products

So I thought a great way to start this blog would be to talk about some of my favorite skin stuff at present : )

LUSH Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub

I was really back and forth about this one, I read a lot of reviews and finally decided to just go for it. At $35 I wanted to be sure, but in the end, don't you just have to try things for yourself sometimes?
It is VERY blue, the picture just doesn't capture it and the smell is alright, very salty and the lime/tangerine is present, the part I didn't expect was that it's "vodka based" - what?! Yeah. You can definitely smell it, but even as someone who doesn't drink, it doesn't bother me, it was just unexpected as no reviews I read mentioned it. TiffanyD from youtube had really good stuff to say about this scrub, and I trust her opinion, including that she can use it everyday. I find I can do the same, actually I find myself wanting to use it morning and night 'cause its so nice and exfoliating, but I stop myself (mostly for the sake of the $35 dollars ; ) and reach for the Clarisonic if I need more scrub time. This stuff is really cool, just go easy at first as it can get a little stingy if your skin is sensitive, but definitely worth a try.

Aloe Soothing Day Cream from the Body Shop

I am obsessed with this stuff, I use it every...night. Yup! I use this day cream at night, it has no SPF or anything, but why I love it is that it really absorbs into my skin. My experience with nighttime moisturizers is that they stay on top of my skin and then rub off as I sleep (I can only sleep on my stomach, and always end up smooshing my face into the pillow.) This moisturizer absorbs within minutes, even with toner, pore clearing gel and spot treatments underneath. I wouldn't use it in the day (SPF people!) but at night it perfect, AND it lasts for over a month. LOVE IT.
